Village development

Adarsh Gram

A project that aims not only to upgrade physical infrastructure of the village but also to empower the community through social and cultural development.

The Sirvel village development project is a holistic initiative encompassing various urban design and architecture components to rejuvenate the community sustainably. A key highlight is the proposed pedestrianization of part of the main village spine to enhance user experience. Street development will streamline shops with retail and dining spillovers, creating a vibrant and accessible commercial area.

To promote cycling, a new cycle track will be introduced, extending to the Sirvel Mahadev Temple, allowing residents and visitors to enjoy the lush natural beauty and hillside views. Additional developments include the construction of public toilets, aanganwadis, temple premises, and a new public park, alongside sculptures and public art to enrich the cultural landscape.

The project also involves retrofitting the craft center, police station, and panchayat offices, along with proposing a new road to provide direct access to the Sirvel Mahadev Temple. Emphasizing sustainability, the project incorporates several social measures such as promoting local craft industries, improving training and access to resources for women in Self Help Groups, and conducting awareness campaigns for obtaining ration cards, Aadhar cards, and bank accounts.
